Vortex Generator Flow (patented): Vortex generators are already used in the aerospace industry. They ensure that the air stream is as close as possible to the wings along. The design of the CPU cooler recognized the Enermax product developers that this mechanism can be perfectly used for the optimization of heat pipe cooling. By small spoiler on the fins of the heat sink, the air flow is guided closely along the heat pipes.In this way, much more cool air reaches the back of the heatpipes.Stack Effect Flow (patented): The chimney effect ("Stack Effect") is a natural physical phenomenon: With their lower density warm air rises and leaves a vacuum which in turn attracts cooler air. Enermax makes use of this effect: four holes in the middle of the heat sink block the airflow and give the warm air in her back room to escape. The heat dissipation is accelerated in this manner. Vacuum Effect Flow: The third effect is due to a physical phenomenon. The best example is a car in drive, the car pushes air aside and leaves a vacuum. Air from the environment is drawn in order to compensate for the pressure difference. Accordingly, the sides of the Enermax CPU cooler is not completely closed, but have apertures, can be sucked through the cooler ambient air into the heat sink.
